TagFlash (New FG Tech Clone) Unboxing and PCB

Credit goes to @JUCED for purchasing the TagFlash ECU programmer (which is a new FG Tech clone). He’s graciously shared everything that came with it (details provided below). He mentioned that the PCB is identical to the older Galletto V54, except it now has a green module, resembling the KT200, located near the LPC. Its exact function remains unclear. Some speculate it’s for encryption/decryption, while others, including myself, think it might be an MCU that sends code to the LPC to reset it with each operation (such as reading or writing), preventing software crashes. The FoxFlash lacks this module, which might explain why the software crashes repeatedly after a single read or write of an ECU, at least in my experience. To resume operations, I’ve found that I need to disconnect and reconnect both USB and DC power. If you’re looking into rework, the old Galletto photos are an excellent reference – see the attached album for details.
