Fortunately, the user was able to resolve the issue by providing a 13V power supply. It’s worth noting that another user faced a similar problem, which was ultimately caused by an incorrect checksum.
To assist with unlocking pcr2.1 on bench, we recommend the following tips:
Before unlocking pcr2.1 on bench, it is advisable to perform encryption first.
For unlocking pcr2.1 via OBD, consider the example of unlocking an Audi A1 1.6tdi PCR2.1 via OBD:
Select the “unlock via OBD” option.
Read the “VR file.”
Write the “VR file” and apply the patch.
Keep in mind that the Audi A1’s battery is located in the boot, so it’s important to prepare accordingly before writing to save time.
The process typically takes around 17 minutes.
Next, proceed to the “Read/Write” option:
Choose “Done – read – fast.”
Modify the file as needed.
Write the modified file, which typically takes around 3 minutes.
