KT200II boot R/W Seat 1.8tsi dsg 2015 Simos 12-01

The experienced user’s advice:
Just do boot writing. I find that obd writing fails a lot of times with kt200. Also don’t even try older bmw like msv70 or so with obd only bdm.

Recommended Method: Boot Mode Writing for Simos 12
Below is the procedure to read the password (Step 1) and to set the control unit in the boot to read and write the file (step 2)

If the virtual file is present in the database: The DFOX software saves the password of this
control unit automatically at the end of a writing of a modified file when using the OBD serial driver.
The password is saved in a file called Password_adv.bin in the same selected folder
where the modified control unit file is saved.
If you want to read and write in boot mode the control unit copy-paste this file in the folder where the program is installed, for example in “C:\DFB Technology” and you can proceed directly
with step 2 of boot.

Final Notes
Boot mode is the safe and reliable choice if you encounter issues with ECUHELP KT200 OBD flashing on Simos 12 ECUs. Always verify that the software handles the virtual file and password correctly, and follow the proper connection diagrams to avoid damaging the ECU or rendering the vehicle undriveable.
