ECUHELP KT200 EDC17C46 programming OBD / Bench / Boot mode

ECUHELP KT200 can be used to read and write EDC17C46 ECU in OBD, Bench, and Boot modes. This article will provide instructions on how to do each of these operations.

Option 1:  KT200 Read and write EDC17C46 in OBD mode
Connect the ECUHELP KT200 to the vehicle’s OBD port.
In the ECUHELP KT200 software, select the OBD tab and the EDC17C46 driver.
Click on Read or Write to read or write the eeprom & flash.

Tip from one user: Virtual Read. I did not remove tprot, the tool removed it itself at writing.15 min write. I wrote yesterday 4 times with 14.5-14.7V and no problems at all

Option 2: KT200 Read and write EDC17C46 on Bench

ECU type and car info: BOSCH EDC17 C46 [ 1767 ] – VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda [Diesel]

Connect ECUHELP KT200 to the ECU using the multifunction cable.

In the ECUHELP KT200 software, select:
→ BENCH TRICORE → VW / AUDI / SEAT / SKODA → TC1767 – VAG → EDC17 C46

Option 3: KT200 Read and write EDC17C46 in Boot Tricore

Connect the ECUHELP KT200 to the ECU using the multifunction cable and four 1000 Ω resistors.
In the ECUHELP KT200 software, select Tools Boot Mode > INFINEON TRICORE Boot > SAK TC1767 driver.

Attention:
If the password error message appears at the beginning of the reading, you will need to find the password first.

Disable the boot mode by unsoldering the resistors.
In the ECUHELP KT200 software, select → OBD PASSWORD TPROT V08 VAG → Click on “Find Password” and follow the software messages.

Once you have found the password, you can read and write the ECU as described in Step 1.
