I Successfully updated ECUHELP KT200II PCB (May 20th, 2024)

Thanks for one ECUHELP KT200II user’s feedback (I quoted all what he recorded in the following paragraphs):

I followed the instructions in the video, but I was missing a jumper in the kit, so I made one myself for the pins (JP1).
I followed the procedure, and the software is working fine.

Complete Guide to the KT200 II Update – May 20th, 2024

1.  Hardware preparation

Firstly Order: Special offer of KT200II New Board (June update)

Insert the jumper on the JP1 connection of the motherboard and on the JP connection of the card.
If the kit only has one jumper:
You can reuse one from an old motherboard.
Alternatively, you can bridge JP1 (more easily accessible) with two cables.
Connect the new motherboard to the KT200 II device.

2. Software preparation
Uninstall all previous versions of the KT200 II software from your PC.
We recommend using a tool such as GeekUninstaller for complete removal.
Prepare to download the May 2024 update.
Install the software, but do not start it during the hardware update process.

3. Visual signals and start-up
After connecting the card, connect the USB cable to your PC.
The red LED will flash for about 30 seconds.
Wait for it to stop flashing: it will become steady.

4. Software start-up
After installing the new KT200 II software for May 2024 provided by ECUHELP:
Go to the installation folder.
Look for the “kt300” folder.
Open the folder and start “UpdateFirmware” as shown in the video.

5. Confirm update
The software will display the message “Update complete”.
At this point, the update is complete and operational.

That’s all.
